My wife, Marie, and I, Wes, have been part of several church plants over the past 20 years. While we always desired to plant a church ourselves, God used that time to prepare us for the moment He would call us to step out in faith.
Throughout our journey, we’ve often reflected on how church is done in many places across America. While there’s no single “right” way to structure a church, we’ve seen a shift where some churches feel more like entertainment venues than disciple-making communities. This inspired us to approach things differently, with a focus on spreading the Gospel and making disciples.
Saltwater Communities is our way of answering that call—to make Jesus known and see lives transformed.
Saltwater Communities is a network of micro-churches that gather wherever they desire (it doesn't have to be a building called a church) with the mission of committing ourselves to God, pursue Jesus in relationship with one another, and reflect the love of Christ to our neighbors.
If you’d like to learn more about how you can be a part of Saltwater Communities, whether you’re ready to see a new microchurch emerge or if you would just like to find an extended spiritual family, we think having coffee or connecting with someone from our leadership circle is a great next step.(link)
